Clinical Study Opportunity – Ketogenic Diabetic Volunteers Needed
ACON Laboratories, Inc. is looking for participants on a ketogenic diet who are
either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetics to participate in a clinical study that will take
place at our office in San Diego, CA (Sorrento Valley area).
If you are eligible for the study, you will be asked to:
- Fill out clinical study forms
- Read instructions on how to perform the blood ketone test
- Wash hands and perform multiple blood ketone tests on your own,
without the assistance of the laboratory technicians (this may require
several fingersticks)
- Provide 1 small tube of blood collected from your fingertip by one of our
laboratory technicians (this may require several fingersticks)
- Perform multiple blood ketone tests with your blood sample by the
laboratory technicians (this may require several fingersticks)
- Provide another 1 small tube of blood collected from your fingertip by
one of our laboratory technicians (this may require several fingersticks)
- Provide 1 tube of venous blood sample collected by a phlebotomist
- Use disinfectant wipes on the devices according to instruction provided
- Fill out a short questionnaire
Volunteers who complete the study will be paid $150 for about 45 minutes of
time.
